Flight simmers often point to Falcon 4.0 as the benchmark—not because of the switches, but because the campaign generates a living, autonomous war where the player is merely a small cog in a massive operational machine. Tank simulations have never had that. We have had deep ballistics, manual gunnery, and authentic rangefinding in sims like Steel Armor: Blaze of War (SABoW) or Steel Fury , but players were always confined to isolated, heavily scripted missions or narrow historical sandboxes. If you wanted sprawling, unscripted operational warfare—regiments manoeuvring across 80-square-kilometre maps, persistent artillery cratering, dynamic front lines, and an AI commander conducting a theatre-level wargame—you turned to Graviteam’s tactical series: Operation Star and Mius-Front .
