Outerra Released

Outerra  a whole world engine has released a playable demo called Anteworld. The engine is simply stunning, you can go to anywhere on the globe and see the elevations very accurately. I have a photo from the schwere SS-PanzerAbteilung 501 in the Bulge  website  and I have made a comparison photo for you. A modern view taken in the fields of the Werimont farm, showing the approximate field of fire of Tiger 213.  Tank 211 was located farther to the left, beyond the farm buildings.  They were firing at the tanks of TF McGeorge coming from left to right along the road in the distance, at ranges of 1000 to 1500 meters.  (websites photo) This one is in a similar position in the Outerra engine. As you can see the similarity is remarkable.  Anteworld is currently in Alpha with a $15 price tag to unlock the demo. I have purchased it and look forward to future developments Here is the pop up Google window to allow...

IL2 Cliffs of Dover driveable vehicles

Another new tank video, this does look very interesting for us tankers. It looks like the next patch for CLOD will include playable vehicles, @5 mins in there are player controlled tanks! I will keep you all informed, the possibilities are endless if we have playable vehicles.

New PP2-x released by PEDG

Tiger 1 - Turned out driver view

New drivers deck with the drivers position I created a while back. I am making a high detail model for the turned out view of the driver and radio operator. These will be drawn instead of the whole tank, therefore giving us more polys to use in this view.

Though it looks similar, the front end is redone. I am going to redo the front end as I am not happy with it. After a week of creating individual engine sounds for the tanks in PE I needed a break, so here is my break.

Small Barn for Panzer Elite -x

Modeled in Sketchup  Then pass the model to Object Editor in PE The model is also sent to Max for a quick and dirty UVW map so we can get the shadow information. We then layer the shadows onto the textures and apply them in the OE for export to PE. For those that clicked on the article, here is an early WIP house Slomo and I are working on.
