Panzer Elite PE-x Beta .5

13th of December 1942 North of Medjay... Zug Bussard is under heavy fire from an unknown amount of enemy forces on the right and can been seen as the smoke on the far right. Zug Adler in the centre of the screen is moving up to help Bussard as they withdraw. I have a choice of moving up the centre or flanking to the right, though going to the right we will be off road and we may bog down. Panzer Elite does model ground pressure. Having decided to go along the road and through the valley following zug Adler. I drop down the hill from the Sinidia, zug Adler has made contact with Shermans in the distance, some 1.6km away from me and out of sight as I continue down the hill. I cross the two river bridges and pause for a moment for my zug to reform. The screenshot above is of Sinidia, as I look back for my zug, the last of which can be seen in the screen shot. I have started adding 3D wheels, tracks and suspension to some of the PE models.

PP2-x

Not bad for a tank simulation released last century. Well done PEDG for the continued development of this superb sim. Here are some screen shots from the current beta build.

Tiger II update

Very close now, all uv's are now in the 0.1 space, I just need to make better use of the space!

Tiger II all parts now mapped

I have now mapped all of the parts of the Tiger II, my next task is attaching all the parts together and then placing the uv's into the 0,1 space.

PP2-x new developments

The new Alt F4 1500 meter view distance  The old Alt F3 maximum view distance. PEDG were kind enough to give me the latest build of PP2. This version has the improved view distances added to the Alt F4 key, this pushes the view out to 1500 meters This is great news and helps with the immersion and general feel of the game. This version has yet to be optimized as it is a very early build of this new feature...
