Graviteam: Steel Armour Blaze of War

Image
Graviteam and their new title Steel Armour Blaze of War deserve the whole hearted support of our tank simulation community. They and they alone are developing new tank simulations for us to enjoy and mod. We already have Steel Fury, without doubt the best single player WW2 tank simulation ever created. The only thing it lacks is multi-player but the single player is so involving, multi-player for me is hardly missed at all. Now we have Steel Armour another new tank simulation from Graviteam, this time based in the 80's and with 3 theatres to live and die on, such as Iran - Iraq, Afghanistan and the Angola. The attention to detail that Graviteam put into their simulations is on a par with the great IL2 by Oleg Maddox. Andrey Zuye v is, in my opinion the Oleg Maddox of our tiny Tank sim world. This is why we need to support their new tank simulation, without Andrey and Graviteam the future looks very bleak for tank simmers, very bleak indeed. Th...

The ultimate tank simulation

I guess this can be classed a follow on to the previous article found here: http://theantisocialgamer.blogspot.com/2011/09/disgruntled-multi-player-tanker.html A hypothetical list of what would we create if we had the skills to make a tank simulation based off the current crop of tank simulations and technology. What would we bring in from the three main tank simulations? Let's start with T34 vs Tiger. The driving model in T34 vs Tiger is a sublime simulation of how the Tiger and T34 perform in the real world, which has carried over to the simulation. The weight and feel of the tanks is  unmatched by any other current tank simulation. The views we have in T34 vs Tiger are on a par and possibly better than any other tank simulation made or currently available, plus all the interiors move with the various tasks being carried out, change gear and you will see all the correct things move to carry out changing gear. The same is true on the outside of the tank, hatches...
