Virtual Interior: The entire interior of the tanks is modeled, with useable hatches, periscopes, viewports, etc. The driver, hull mg, and commander can all unbutton their hatches. (Source: RPS Interview) New Tank Damage System: Heroes of Stalingrad has a significantly more complex damage system than Ostfront. Damage to systems such as optics, engine, transmission, turret rotation mechanism, fuel tank, drive sprocket, treads and more are modelled. Shots that penetrate the tank's armor can kill crewmembers inside. Crewmembers have individual hitboxes within the tank and are killable via penetration of an AT rifle round. ARMA: COLD WAR ASSAULT Released

Operation Flashpoint is 10 years old and to celebrate Bohemia have released Arma Cold War Assault a patched version of Operation Flashpoint. The sim is free if you are an original owner of the first series of games. If not, it is on sale for under £5  HERE The first thing I did, after the huge smile from seeing an old friend, was to install some of the excellent mods that are available for this venerable game. The screen shot is from the peerless I44 mod and Marfy's JagdTiger. The attention to detail in some of these mods is superlative  and many surpass mods for the younger ArmA and ArmA2 in features.
