I have started to add more detail to the model, starting from the ground up. The wheel, idler and front sprocket is some of the best work I have done to date.
I am rebuilding the panzer iv low poly, this will serve as the base for my high poly model as well as a lod for a distance model. This model will also go to Slomo of PEDG for use in the upcoming PP2-x pack.
I have revisited the Panzer III after seeing it in the flesh at Tankfest 2011. There were a few errors I was not happy with. I have also added a touch more detail.
Myself and Q visited this years tankfest held every year here in the UK at the tank museum Bovington. I took a lot of reference photos of the tanks I am working on. I am posting them here for anyone else that wants reference photos. I have added more details to the lower hull for Slomo of the Panzer Elite Development Group. This is new front and back wheels and suspension arms. The panzer 3's will be appearing in PP2-x for Panzer Elite.
I have revisited the Panzer IIIm low poly. There are now more details added, I have also kept the IIIm under 1500 faces. I will also use the IIIm to understand UV mapping a tank in Blender.
The axe was a simple model to make in SketchUP. The textures are from CGtextures, then combined and edited in Paint.net and Blender was used for the UV map.
Here is my second model uv mapped and textured. Created in SketchUp and then imported into Blender for uv mapping. The textures are from CGTextures and applied in Paint.net and then all put back into Blender for the final pass. Still a lot to learn.
Here is my first model I have created, uv mapped and textured. The model was created in SketchUp and then imported into Blender for uv mapping. The texture is from CGTextures and applied in Paint.net and then all put back in Blender.
I have now exported our Pzr III into blender, all seems ok. That said I know zero Blender. The idea is to now use Blender to unwrap the model ready for painting.
